Questions this page answers
What is my IP address?
It is the public address your provider assigns to the connection you are using right now. The card at the top of this page reads it from the request itself — no third-party lookup, no cache — so what you see is what the rest of the internet sees.
Why does my IP show a different city?
IP geolocation resolves to the service area registered for that network block, not to a street address. Mobile carriers, CGNAT and VPN exits are regularly registered hundreds of kilometres from where the device physically is.
What is a WebRTC leak?
WebRTC can expose the local and public addresses a browser uses for peer-to-peer calls. If one of them differs from your exit IP, a VPN is not covering that path. This page compares both and only flags an address it has not already seen.
Is my IP stored or logged?
No. Diagnostics are computed per request and the result stays in your browser. Your address is not written to a database, sold, or shared with advertisers.
