Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These terms govern your use of ipbox.one. If you do not accept them, do not use the site. If you use it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept them for that organisation.

2. What the service is

ipbox.one is a free set of network diagnostics and developer utilities: it reports the IP address your connection is seen as, geolocation, network attributes, TLS and HTTP metadata, plus browser-side leak checks and a small collection of converters. It requires no registration and stores no account.

The site is provided as-is and without any service level. It may be changed, rate-limited, partially disabled or taken offline at any time, including without notice. Nothing here creates an obligation to keep a particular feature available.

3. Acceptable use

• Do not use the API as a free lookup or proxy service for third parties, or resell its output as your own product.
• Do not automate requests at a rate that degrades the service for others. The published limits exist for that reason and are enforced per IP.
• Do not attempt to bypass rate limits, probe the Worker for vulnerabilities outside a responsible-disclosure report, or interfere with the hosting provider.
• Do not use the site to stalk, harass or identify an individual. Geolocation here is approximate and is not a people-finding tool.
• Do not present diagnostic output as a legal, financial or security certification. It is an observation of one connection at one moment.

We may block or throttle traffic that breaks these rules. Because the site keeps no accounts, a block is applied to the connection, not to a person — which also means we cannot "unban your account".

4. Accuracy of results

Geolocation, datacenter classification, risk scores and resolver attribution are estimates built from third-party data and heuristics. They can be wrong, and they can be wrong in ways that matter: an address can be reported in the wrong city, a shared carrier address can look like a proxy, a mobile network can appear in a different region entirely.

Where a value cannot be determined, the site shows that it is unknown instead of inventing one — but treat every field as an indicator, not as evidence. Do not make decisions with legal or financial consequences on the basis of this site alone.

5. Intellectual property

The site design, code and written articles belong to the operator. You may quote or link to articles with attribution and a link back. You may not republish them wholesale, translate and repost them as your own, or use the site content to train a commercial model without permission.

6. Third-party links and affiliate links

Some pages contain links to external services, including affiliate links. If you sign up through one, the operator may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. Recommendations are based on actual use, but you should evaluate any provider yourself: pricing, reliability and longevity are outside our control.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or losses arising from decisions made using the site or from the site being unavailable.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Privacy

Handling of connection data and cookies is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated as the service changes. The date at the top reflects the current version; continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.

10. Governing law and contact
